Australian technology company Nova Systems has partnered with Elbit Systems for a series of flight tests of the Skylark Lex UAV, intended for the Australian Army.

Recently, the two companies conducted tests of the Israeli-made electric UAV (known in Israel’s Artillery Corps as the “Sky Rider”), at Nova’s testing field. The Royal Australian Air Force is also participating in the tests.

Mark Wagstaff, Vice President of Nova, told Defense Connect that his company supports Elbit Systems and the Australian Army in these tests.

"Testing such complex systems in real conditions and environments allows us to demonstrate the potential of the systems, all while ensuring that there is no disruption to general air traffic," he said.
