Spanish company Santa Barbara Sistemas, a part of General Dynamics Land Systems Europe (GDELS), is showcasing a new version of the ASCOD armored vehicle at the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition in Paris. This vehicle features Rafael's EuroTrophy active protection system and Elbit's UT30 remote-controlled weapon station with a 40mm cannon.
The exhibited version is modular, allowing for the integration of additional systems, such as Rafael's Spike anti-tank missile launchers. This is not the first time GDELS has presented the ASCOD with Israeli systems; it was also showcased at the BSDA 2024 exhibition in Bucharest, reflecting Romania's intention to purchase over 250 new tracked Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs) for its army.
