At the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition, which will open tomorrow (Monday) in Paris, German defense giant Rheinmetall will showcase a selection of loitering munition systems produced by the Israeli company UVision. The cooperation between Rheinmetall and UVision began nearly three years ago, when the two companies signed a strategic agreement in October 2021 to collaborate on loitering munitions.

In April 2022, it was announced that UVision's Hero loitering munition (LM) would be integrated into various Rheinmetall platforms, including the Boxer CRV, the Lynx infantry fighting vehicle, and the Mission Master unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). This collaboration materialized about a year ago when the two companies secured an order from Hungary for Hero loitering munitions, with contracts now signed for a deal valued in the low three-digit million-euro range. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2024 and conclude in 2025.
