Elbit Wins Contract for 'Iron Fist' Protection Systems for U.S. Army Bradley IFVs

Israeli defense company Elbit Systems has announced that it has been awarded an initial contract worth approximately $37 million to supply Iron Fist Active Protection Systems (APS) to General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) for upgrades to the U.S. Army's Bradley M2A4E1 Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs). The contract will be carried out over 24 months.

This announcement follows a report that the US Army has unveiled a new variant of the Bradley M2A4E1 fighting vehicle, featuring, for the first time, an Active Protection System "Iron Fist Light" manufactured by Elbit Systems.
