Israel’s Pangea, which specializes in the digital transformation of government, public and business services, has announced that government organizations in a Southeast Asian country will employ its advanced AI systems for analyzing psycho-physiological indicators that identify and decode situations of psychological stress, i.e., Visual Stress detection and Analysis.

Pangea's solution identifies when and in response to which questions subjects' stress levels rise, while processing their faces on video in real time. Among other things, the system can distinguish between an image of a live person to a photograph or deep fake. The system can detect a wide range of psycho-physiological parameters that can provide valuable AI driven insights on subject investigation, event analyses, authenticity, and reliability assessments.

The system's operators receive real-time text or voice alerts about abnormal psycho-physiological levels and can instantly form an assessment of the subject's reliability. The technology has reached exceptional accuracy of over 90% in monitoring stress situations, significantly streamlining and shortening investigation times.

The technology was developed with an investment of millions of dollars and a significant number of man-years. Three patent applications were filed along the way, one of which was granted and two of which are nearing the end of the process. The system to date has been sold in 15 countries worldwide.

Amir Dagan, Head of Visual Stress Analysis at Pangea: "Many countries are currently facing mounting challenges in the realm of crime as well as unprecedented congestion at airports, land and sea border crossings. AI can successfully address these challenges by shortening and improving efficiency of the checkup and investigation processes. These capabilities have proven themselves in every country the system has been implemented."
