Former senior IDF officers join Israel's T9Design
Maj. Gen. (Res.) Tal Russo has been appointed chairman, and Col. (Res.) Ofer Tzimhi has been appointed director of business development for the textile company

The Israeli company T9Design, which specializes in the design, development and production of technical textiles in the security and civilian fields, announced this week that Major General (Res.) Tal Russo has joined the company as chairman of the company's board of directors. In addition, Col. (Res.) Ofer Tzimhi will join the company's management as director of local and international business development.
The company stated that General Russo's joining the company stems from the belief that the combination of T9Design as one of the leaders in the defense/tactical textile industry in Israel, together with Russo's extensive experience in both the military and tactical business areas may contribute greatly to the company's promotion and the opening of additional channels.
According to Liran Cohen, the company CEO, "We are in the process of growth and as a company, we are proud that Russo and Tzimhi have joined the management team. It shows the strength of the company and their trust in us as a company with capabilities."
Maj. Gen. (Res.) Russo was one of the founders of the IDF's Shaldag special forces unit and served in a variety of command positions in the IDF, including the Sayeret Matkal special forces unit, the Nahal Brigade, and the Southern Command, and was involved in countless operational and command decisions.
Col. (Res.) Ofer Tzimhi previously served as CEO of several industrial companies in the fields of plastics, packaging and composites and served as a director in private and public companies, including Tefron Advanced Textiles, and currently serves as a director in Maabarot Products, Even Keisar and Redhill Biopharma as business development manager.
