A number of Israeli companies are participating in the Peruvian Ministry of the Interior tender to purchase dozens of armored vehicles for the Peruvian national police at a value of approximately $40 million.
The Spanish website defense.com reports that the winning companies in this tender for two types of armored vehicles will be announced in the coming days. In the tender to purchase 56 multipurpose 4x4 armored vehicles, the Israeli companies Gaya Behri with the Thunder vehicle and Plasan with Sandcat vehicle are participating, along with companies from Colombia and the United Arab Emirates.
Israeli Beit Alfa Technologies and Shladot companies are participating in the tender for the purchase of 43 Riot Motor Pumps (4x4 and 6x4) alongside the Emirati company Streit.
The website says that many questions have been raised regarding the participation of Israeli companies in these tenders and whether they will be able to meet the conditions of the tenders in light of the war situation in Israel. In this context, the Israeli embassy in Peru officially announced that despite the situation, the Israeli government supports the Israeli companies participating in the tenders and guarantees the supply of the vehicles.
