Attack attributed to IDF carried out in Syria; rockets fired from Lebanon at western Galilee 

Syria accused Israel of being behind the attack. Afterward, rockets were fired from Lebanon at the western Galilee. The IDF retaliated with artillery fire against the sources of the rocket fire

According to reports online, an airstrike attributed to Israel was carried out in Syrian territory yesterday. According to a report by Israel's Ma'ariv newspaper, the state-run Syrian television station reported that air defense systems shot down hostile targets in the country's skies, claiming that the incident was "Israeli aggression". The attack took place south of the city of Aleppo.    

Afterward, in the predawn hours of this morning, sirens went off in the western Galilee. According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, "2 rockets were fired from Lebanon toward northern Israel. 1 of the rockets was intercepted by the Iron Dome Aerial Defense System & the 2nd rocket fell in an open area inside Israel." 

In response to the firing of the rockets, IDF artillery forces struck targets in Lebanese territory.
