A woman was killed in Rishon LeZion, there were wounded in Givatayim, Rishon LeZion and Holon, Ben Gurion Airport was closed for flights and there were major confrontations with the police in mixed cities. All of this occurred amid political instability and the rioting that started a number of days ago on the Temple Mount.

Hundreds of rockets were fired during the day at population centers in the south, including Ashkelon and Ashdod which had fatalities and wounded as a result of the landing of dozens of rockets. Hamas succeeded in launching hundreds of rockets within five minutes in an attempt to challenge the Iron Dome system. However, it appears that Iron Dome still maintains an interception rate of about 90% or higher.

There was also a direct hit on an oil storage facility in Ashkelon belonging to Petroleum & Energy Infrastructures. At the time that these lines were written, schools in the center of the country were closed on Wednesday in light of the events.
