Israel's Elbit, Switzerland's ELCA to jointly deliver communication and network solutions

The cooperation is aimed at enabling the delivery of quality solutions in Switzerland and facilitating transfer of know-how while strengthening Swiss sovereignty requirements

Israel's Elbit Systems and ELCA, one of the largest IT companies in Switzerland, announced that they are cooperating in the areas of networks and communications. A statement issued by the two companies at the end of April said that this cooperation marries the unique IT prowess of ELCA with the innovative yet widely operational technologies of Elbit Systems, to enable the delivery of quality solutions in Switzerland and facilitate transfer of know-how while strengthening Swiss sovereignty requirements.

Elbit, which is engaged in several projects in the Swiss market, seeks to expand its cooperation with the Swiss high technology ecosystem, leveraging its innovative technology and experience accumulated from its global operations. On its part, ELCA is seeking long-term cooperation with international high-technology companies such as Elbit as part of its effort to expand its global footprint, according to the statement.

"As one of the leading IT companies in Switzerland, ELCA is the perfect partner for us," commented Haim Delmar, General Manager of Elbit Systems C4I and Cyber. "Delivering on large-scale and complex programs throughout the world taught us the importance of having top quality, on the ground, IT capabilities such as data security, management of classified applications and technical support."
