At the opening ceremony of the Israeli pavilion at the Singapore Airshow, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Michel Ben-Baruch said that "Israeli industries should surpass themselves and bring out all of Israel's capabilities." The Israeli pavilion is considered the largest of all the foreign countries at the exhibition. A Special coverage by Amir Rapaport from Singapore

A tremendous Israeli presence at the Singapore Airshow, opened on Tuesday in: Heads of the defense establishments and industries arrived at the Asian island, which is considered a very important destination for Israeli export. Israel's national pavilion, initiated by SIBAT - The International Defense Cooperation Directorate in IMOD, is the largest of the foreign countries that are participating in the exhibition.

Head of SIBAT, Michel Ben-Baruch, revealed at the opening ceremony of the pavilion that Israeli export in 2015 crossed the threshold of $US 5 billion in sales, although there were serious concerns that this target will not be obtained. "We are dealing with the consequences of defense budget cuts worldwide, a drop in oil prices that affects some countries and sharp fluctuations in currency. Despite of all that, we have achieved that goal. However, we are still in a downward trend compared to previous years. Israeli industries should surpass themselves and bring out all of Israel's capabilities."

Israel's ambassador to Singapore, Yael Rubinstein, said at the ceremony that Singapore is one of Israel's greatest friends. Mickey Federmann, chair of Elbit Systems, spoke on behalf of the industries and said that the Israeli pavilion growth trend indicates the growing importance of the Asia-Pacific to them.
